Myślą utworu jest ukazanie siły twórczej i stwórczej. Jest to opowieść o tworzeniu, a jej konstrukcja ukazuje fragmenty pełne potęgi, wręcz brutalnej siły, ale i łagodności, harmonii. Wszystkie te czynniki są konieczne by coś powstało.
Obserwujemy kosmiczne "katastrofy", wybuchy supernowych, ale i ciszę, spokój kosmosu w którym życie ciał niebieskich toczy się nieprzerwanie i bardzo sensownie. Efektem tych przemian jest ziemia jako przyjazne miejsce do życia. I choć żywioł może mieć skutki katastroficzne dla człowieka to chciałem ukazać go w aspekcie twórczym np. brutalną siłę wulkanu nie jako tego co grzebie miasta w popiele i lawie, ale w jego pierwszej funkcji jako tego co tworzy lądy, użyźnia glebę itp.
W świecie kultury jest podobnie, człowiek aby stworzyć jakiś przedmiot musi zastosować najpierw brutalną siłę obróbki, czy to metalu, kamienia czy drewna. Materia musi się poddać w jego rękach, jest to trud poprzez brutalność narzędzia: noża, piły, siekiery wobec drewna, dłuta wobec kamienia, ognia i młota wobec stali itp. W tym twórczym procesie przechodzimy też do łagodniejszych form obróbki, do momentu w którym przedmiot ukazuje już swą doskonałość, piękno, począwszy od jego formy, a skończywszy na użyteczności, która pozwala człowiekowi żyć.
