My attempts today at making one of my favorite little fireworks. Speed Balls are made by Sky King Fireworks, they're a type of wingless helicopter firework. Basically a ground bloom that spins into the air. Although i have no idea what the physics behind it are, i seem to have done a decent job at replicating them...
After the second try i glued an airsoft pellet to the back of the tube to keep it from flipping upright. Then after the fourth try i reinforced the rear plug to keep it from blowing out.
