Love Me Again was written by Damon Sharpe, Eric Sanicola, Talay Riley, and CJ Holland.[7] Sanicolas demo of the song featured different lyrics than either of the final versions and was titled Right Here, Right Now.[8] Though uncredited, the guitars were contributed by Jordan Sapp.[9]
An earlier mix of the song did not include the guitars that are present in the final version. Alexa PenaVega posted an online video containing this version of the song on March 22, 2020.[10]
The instrumental was also used in the song Love This Town by Dizzee Rascal, also co-written and produced by Sanicola.[11]
